It is all about hands (Class drawing and learning)

After last weeks hands and glasses I decided to do something a little more challenging this week. That was to draw ones own hand but this time without holding anything. This is actually much harder as there is less to latch onto, less drama and the need for more subtlety. Here are some of the resulting drawings.

Great results I thought. Some 20 minutes from the end I suggested it would be a challenge to use  our wrong hands to draw with. This threw up some remarkably accomplished results. The large hand of Jons was drawn holding the pencil right at the tip. He commented that it was like something other was in control and that the size was not thought out but it just came out much larger than usual. Barbara produced the most lovely lines with this method.
